SMOKIN’ IN THE BOYS ROOM
 
 
“Smokin’ in the Boys Room”  is a song originally recorded by Brownsville Station in 1973 on their album Yeah!.  It reached #3 in Canada and on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.  It also reached No. 2 on the Cash Box Top 100.  The song became a Gold record.  The song is about students hoping to avoid being caught violating their school’s smoking ban by smoking cigarettes in the boys’ restroom.  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 

Through their connections with the Michigan rock band Brownsville Station – best known for their 1973 hit “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” – Blackfoot recorded their most successful album Strikes in 1979.  The album was engineered by the drummer for Brownsville StationHenry Weck and was produced by their manager, Al Nalli
