COLD CHISEL
Cold Chisel are an Australian rock band that formed in Adelaide, Australia. They had chart success in the 70s, 80s and 90s, and again more recently since reforming in 2011, with nine albums making the Australian top ten. Cold Chisel’s mainstream popularity is restricted to Australia, with their songs and musicianship exemplifying “pub rock” and highlighting working class life in their home country. Jimmy Barnes, I’m Still on Your Side (single) – Jimmy Barnes is a singer-songwriter who fronted the Australian hard rock band Cold Chisel and then mounted a successful solo career. “I’m Still on Your Side” has more of a country sound; Allmusic calls it “blue-collar rock” in their 4½ star review of the album where this song can be found, Freight Train Heart (1987).
