The Angels – My Boyfriend’s Back (1963):  The classic #1 girl-group hit “My Boyfriend’s Back” by the Angels is joined on the album My Boyfriend's Back by the group’s Top 20 hit “Till” and other similar songs, some being hits for others and others referencing the hit song.  This record was the first major hit single for the songwriting and production team of Bob Feldman, Jerry Goldstein and Richard Gottehrer.  They were also behind two other one hit wonders of the 1960’s, “I Want Candy” by the Strangeloves and “Hang on, Sloopy” by the McCoys; and they worked with other rock bands in later years, including the Go-Go's and Blondie.  Also, Richard Gottehrer was a co-founder of Sire Records.
