MANFRED MANN CHAPTER THREE
Manfred Mann Chapter Three is the debut album released in 1969 by Manfred Mann Chapter Three. It was one of the three first albums released on the Vertigo record label. The principal members of the group were Manfred Mann and Mike Hugg. The group was augmented by a five-piece brass section and several distinguished jazz soloists. (More from Wikipedia)
A more definitive chapter was announced with the formation of the jazz/rock group Manfred Mann Chapter Three, with only Mike Hugg and Manfred Mann himself remaining from Manfred Mann. Their two albums – Manfred Mann Chapter Three and Manfred Mann Chapter Three, Volume Two in 1969 and 1970 – both marked a progressive rock direction for the band but made little headway in the charts.
