BBC Radio  is an operational business division and service of the British Broadcasting Corporation which has operated in the United Kingdom under the terms of a Royal Charter since 1927.  The service provides national radio stations covering the majority of musical genres, as well as local radio stations covering local news, affairs and interests which also oversees online audio content.   (More from Wikipedia)
 
 
With guest musician Henry Scott III (who also worked in the studio with Ja Ja Ja), the band toured extensively in Europe and New York; their concerts at New York’s Danceteria were well received, with Melle Mel from old-school rap legends Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five in enthusiastic attendance.  Prominent DJ John Peel played one of their songs on BBC Radio in 1982.

Twink is also renowned as a founding member of the hard psych band the Pink Fairies, along with the Deviants’ Mick Farren and Steve Peregrin Took, who was Marc Bolan’s partner in the original Tyrannosaurus Rex band.

Besides Twink, the other bandmembers in Tomorrow – originally called the Four Plus One – included guitarist Steve Howe, which was later in Yes; Junior Wood; and Keith West, who was evidently the best known member of the band when their album came out.  Of note is the fact that Tomorrow was featured on the very first of the Peel Sessions by DJ John Peel on BBC Radio 1, on September 21, 1967.

On October 7, 2014, a remarkable assemblage of musicians came together under the name “The Impossible Orchestra” to perform the Beach Boys song “God Only Knows”.  The event was simulcast on BBC Television and BBC Radio stations in order to herald the launch of BBC Music, and the event also made national news in this country.  A recording of the song was released on a single the following day as a fund-raising effort for Children in Need 2014.  The musicians span the spectrum of popular music and included Brian Wilson, Pharrell Williams, One Direction, Lorde, Chrissie Hynde, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Chris Martin, Kylie Minogue, Dave Grohl, Brian May, and many others.

An Emotional Fish, An Emotional Fish – Here is the story on this Irish band according to Allmusic; I knew nothing about them myself at the time:  “Since they come from Dublin, are righteously political and their first two singles were on U2’s Mother record label, An Emotional Fish is frequently written off as a blatant U2 imitator; and there is no denying that they owe a large debt to those Irish superstars.  While their music has the same droning guitar of U2, there are more Celtic touches than U2 at a similar stage, along with straighter pop hooks.  Unfortunately, they were involved in a nasty scandal in the U.K. involving Radio 1.  After that, their debut album was massacred by the critics; and the band essentially vanished, releasing records like 1993’s Junk Puppets and 1996’s Sloper to little notice.”
