Shindig with the Stars (Various Artists) (1964): Shindig with the Stars was evidently named after the popular U.S. music TV program called Shindig! that ran from September 1964 into 1965. The album features songs by recording stars who had appeared on the show, including Bobby Rydell, Chubby Checker, and Dee Dee Sharp. However, Wikipedia has a full listing of all of the performers who were on Shindig!; and the other recording artists featured on Shindig with the Stars – the Orlons, the Dovells, Jo Ann Campbell, and the Tymes – are not on the list. As far as I know, none of the songs on Shindig with the Stars are major hit songs, or at least I don’t remember any of them. One of the two Dee Dee Sharp songs on Shindig with the Stars is a well-known gospel pop song, “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” that comes from her second studio album, Songs of Faith (1962).
