Nederpop IV / 1965-1975 (Various Artists) (1979):  Although the names are often used interchangeably in many parts of the world, officially Holland is only the most populous portion of the Netherlands; the Dutch word for the country is Nederland, so the pop and rock music from the country is often called “Nederpop”.  Dutch rock music from both the 1960’s and 1970’s includes some of my very favorite bands and songs.  Nederpop IV / 1965-1975 is the fourth volume in a series of four compilation albums that were all released in 1979.  Bands represented on Nederpop IV include the Golden Earrings, Sandy Coast, Earth and Fire, Shoes, Bintangs, the Motions, and Galaxy-Lin.
