Tom Jones – Tom Jones Live! at the Talk of the Town (1967): Tom Jones is a powerful Welsh vocalist who came along during the British Invasion and has maintained his celebrity with high-energy performances and more than a little sex appeal. Jones had a string of hit songs beginning in the mid-1960’s, notably “It’s Not Unusual”, “What’s New Pussycat?”, and “Green, Green Grass of Home” – all are included on this album – and also “Delilah”, “She’s a Lady”, “Kiss”, and “Sex Bomb”. Tom Jones also sang the theme song “Thunderball” for the fourth James Bond film Thunderball (1965). The Talk of the Town was a famous London nightclub, and Tom Jones proves on Tom Jones Live! at the Talk of the Town that he can bring it in concert just as well as in the recording studio.
