Jumpin' with Jonah album cover

The Jonah Jones Quartet – Jumpin’ with Jonah (1958):  Jonah Jones was a talented jazz trumpeter who started out playing on a Mississippi riverboat in the 1920’s and had a successful career in jazz, particularly in the 1950’s and 1960’s.  He released a lot of albums during those decades – Jumpin’ with Jonah is his third album in 1958 alone – and this is one of the few Jonah Jones albums that has been reissued on CD.  Selections on this album include “Bill Bailey”, “It’s a Good Day”, “That’s a Plenty”, and “Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans”.
