Hot Chocolate – Cicero Park (1974):  Hot Chocolate was a multiracial rock and soul band from the U.K. who had several hit songs and released a total of seven albums.  Though formed in 1969, they were a singles band in their early years, with Cicero Park being their debut album.  I first learned about Hot Chocolate when I heard “Emma” on my car radio one night, a lovely tearjerker told from the standpoint of the boyfriend of an aspiring actress.  “Disco Queen” is a minor hit that is also included on Cicero Park.  Their biggest hit song was probably “You Sexy Thing” (on their second album).  Hot Chocolate is also known for recording the original version of “Brother Louie”, a song about an interracial romance that Stories made into a #1 U.S. hit in 1973.
