Heartbreaker album cover

Free – Heartbreaker (1973):  This is the fifth and last album for the second-wave British Invasion band Free, best known for their 1970 hard rock anthem “All Right Now”.  Heartbreaker was their third Top 10 album in the U.K. (and Top 50 in the U.S.), with the opening track “Wishing Well” reaching #7 on the British singles charts.  Free broke up for good almost immediately after this album was made, and lead vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke would shortly help found Bad Company.  I might have purchased this album because of the song “Heartbreaker”, but the “Heartbreaker” that I was thinking of was actually on the debut album of a North Carolina rock band called Nantucket.  This is the British release of Heartbreaker, on Island Records; their American albums came out on A&M Records.
