Face to Face – Face to Face (1984):  Face to Face is one of my favorite new wave albums.  Signature vocals by Laurie Sargent, excellent songwriting and musicianship and arrangements, nice variety in their music – Face to Face had it all as far as I’m concerned, and I wish they had made more music.  “10-9-8” was a minor hit for the band, on MTV if not the radio.  As far as I know, “Under the Gun” has the first Christian rap passage ever recorded, though I could be wrong about that.  They even manage to bring up Sodom and Gomorrah without making it sound anti-gay.  Face to Face made two other albums that I have also found, along with a few 12” singles.
