Blue Öyster Cult – Agents of Fortune (1976):  Blue Öyster Cult is a multi-faceted hard rock band that had several hit albums in the 1970’s.  Agents of Fortune is their fifth album and features one of their best-known songs, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”.  Patti Smith was under consideration as the lead singer of Blue Öyster Cult for a time, and she co-wrote two of the songs on Agents of Fortune and performed a memorable spoken introduction to “The Revenge of Vera Gemini”:  “You’re boned like a saint / With the consciousness of a snake”.
