Best of Burdon/Animals Vol. II album

Eric Burdon and the Animals – The Best of Eric Burdon and the Animals, Volume II (1967):  The Animals were one of the original British Invasion bands and are perhaps best known for recording the definitive version of “The House of the Rising Sun” (1964), though they had a number of other hit songs as well.  In their more psychedelic incarnation later in the decade, the name was changed to Eric Burdon and the Animals.  The version of “See See Rider” on The Best of Eric Burdon and the Animals, Volume II is arguably the definitive version of that R&B classic as well; other standout recordings on this album include “A Girl Named Sandoz” (while it was legal, LSD was manufactured by the Sandoz pharmaceutical company), “Don’t Bring Me Down”, “The Other Side of This Life”, “Inside Looking Out”, and “Cheating”.
