“Suddenly Last Summer”  is a song by The Motels released in August 1983 as the first single from their fourth album Little Robbers and was the second and last top 10 hit for the group.  The single peaked at #9 on November 19, 1983 and at number 18 on the Adult Contemporary chart; it was also number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Tracks chart, the only instance of a Motels song topping any music chart.  (More from Wikipedia)
