PETER FRAMPTON

Peter Frampton  (born 22 April 1950) is an English-American rock musician, singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist.  He was previously associated with the bands Humble Pie and The Herd.  Frampton’s international breakthrough album was his live release, Frampton Comes Alive!.  The album sold more than six million copies in the United States alone and spawned several hits.  He has also worked with David Bowie and both Matt Cameron and Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, among others.  He has also appeared as himself in television shows such as The Simpsons and Family Guy.  Frampton is known for his work as a guitar player and particularly with a Talkbox and his tenor voice.  (More from Wikipedia)

If you are just starting out, look for albums that you know.  If your copy of, say, Peter Frampton’s Frampton Comes Alive is pretty beat up, you should be able to find a near-mint replacement for around $5, even though it is a two-album set.  If Rod Stewart is a favorite of yours, try to find an album that includes one or more of your favorite hit songs; chances are you will like the rest of the album also.
