Paul Revere and the Raiders Featuring Mark Lindsay

Greatly Appreciated

PAUL REVERE AND THE RAIDERS FEATURING MARK LINDSAY

Paul Revere & the Raiders  was an American rock band that saw considerable U.S. mainstream success in the second half of the 1960’s and early 1970’s.  Among their hits were the songs “Kicks” (1966; ranked No. 400 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time), “Hungry” (1966), “Him Or Me – What’s It Gonna Be?” (1967), and the Platinum-certified classic No. 1 single “Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian)” (1971).  (More from Wikipedia)

Eventually the lead singer of Paul Revere and the RaidersMark Lindsay wanted more exposure, so they began to record under the ungainly name of Paul Revere and the Raiders Featuring Mark Lindsay.  (That is actually about as long as the Presidents of the United States of America, a name that was deliberately chosen because it was the longest name that the bandmembers could think of).
