Natalie Imbruglia

NATALIE IMBRUGLIA

Natalie Imbruglia  (born 4 February 1975) is an Australian-British singer/songwriter, model and actress.  In the early 1990’s, she played Beth Brennan in the Australian soap opera Neighbours.  Three years after leaving the programme, she began a singing career, with the cover and hit “Torn”.  Her subsequent album, Left of the Middle (1997), sold 7 million copies worldwide.  Further releases, White Lilies Island (2001) and Counting Down the Days (2005), did not sell as well, although the latter became number one in the UK.  In 2007 she made Glorious: The Singles 97–07, a hits compilation featuring the single “Glorious”, which peaked at 23 in the UK singles chart.  (More from Wikipedia)

Without question, Patrick Leonard is the most prominent ex-bandmember of Trillion and is primarily known as a keyboard player, producer and songwriter in the early part of Madonna’s career.  Other rock artists that Leonard has worked with over the years literally reads like a Who’s Who:  Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, Ted NugentBryan AdamsKenny LogginsPeter CeteraJody WatleyNatalie Imbruglia, and Natasha Bedingfield.  Showing his flexibility, he also co-wrote and produced two of the songs (including the title song, and both in Greek) for an album for Cypriot Greek pop musician Anna Vissi, Apagorevmeno (2008); and co-wrote a song for new age musician David Darling, “96 Years”.

Natasha Shneider shows up on even more records for her prowess on keyboards.  In addition to the many songs that have already been mentioned, she plays clavinet on the Soundgarden song “Fresh Tendrils” from their album Superunknown (1994); harpsichord on the song “Guilt by Association” by the garage rock band Louis XIV on their album Slick Dogs and Ponies (2008); synthesizer on the song “Each to Each” on the Gutter Twins album, Saturnalia (2008); and Moog Bass and Synthesizer on the track “WYUT” – which Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider co-wrote with Natalie Imbruglia – on her album Come to Life (2009).
