John Boylan

JOHN BOYLAN

John Boylan  (born March 21, 1941, New York City) is an American record producer and songwriter.  John then started to develop a career as a producer, working with Ricky Nelson, the Association, the Dillards, and others.  He also managed Linda Ronstadt – in particular, introducing her to a then unknown group of musicians who went on to become her backing band in 1971, and later became the Eagles.  After working in the early 1970’s with Pure Prairie League and Commander Cody, he had one of his biggest successes sharing the production duties of the first Boston album with the band’s founder Tom Scholz.  (More from Wikipedia)

For the second album, Trillion went back to the drawing board.  To produce the album, the band even lined up John Boylan, the producer of Boston’s debut album (which had inspired the formation of Trillion in the first place) as well as one of Linda Ronstadt’s albums (Linda Ronstadt) and a few tracks on a second (Don’t Cry Now).
