Jay Ferguson

Jay Ferguson  (born John Arden Ferguson; May 10, 1947) is an American rock/pop musician, known for his work with Spirit and Jo Jo Gunne, and his 1978 solo hit “Thunder Island”.  His later career has been as a composer of music for television programs and films.  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 
The 1960’s psychedelic/progressive rock band Spirit formed in Los Angeles in 1967, growing out of an earlier L.A. band called the Red Roosters.  Bandmembers were Randy California (guitar and vocals), Mark Andes (bass guitar), John Locke (keyboards), and Jay Ferguson (percussion and vocals).
