HOT, COOL AND VICIOUS

Hot, Cool, & Vicious  is the 1986 debut album by American rap group Salt-n-Pepa.  Released by Next Plateau Records on December 8, 1986, it was one of the first albums to be released by an all-female rap group.  Hot, Cool, & Vicious also became the first album by a female rap act to attain gold and platinum status in America.  In 1998, Hot, Cool, & Vicious was listed in The Source’s 100 Best Rap Albums.  (More from Wikipedia)

The debut album by Salt-N-PepaHot, Cool and Vicious (1986) had several moderate R&B hit songs, but the group hit it big when a remix version of “Push It” became a platinum hit and pushed their album sales above the one-million mark.  Salt-N-Pepa has had a productive career over many years, including a Grammy win for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1995 for “None of Your Business”.
