Gordon Waller (4 June 1945 – 17 July 2009) was a British singer–songwriter–guitarist, best known as Gordon of the 1960s pop music duo Peter and Gordon, whose biggest hit was the No. 1 million-selling classic "A World Without Love". (More from Wikipedia)
After a few albums of (more or less) pure country, Linda Ronstadt perfected her sound when she connected with one of the top producers of the 1970's, Peter Asher; he was also Ronstadt's manager for several years. Peter Asher and Gordon Waller performed as Peter and Gordon, a British duo who enjoyed several years of success, particularly with their #1 hit in 1964, "A World Without Love". The song was written by Paul McCartney but credited as Lennon/McCartney as was all of his music and that of John Lennon in the British Invasion period.

A recording of the full Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat musical was released on MCA Records in 1974, featuring Gary Bond, Peter Reeves, and Gordon Waller who had appeared in the 1971 production in Edinburgh. The review of the album by Sarah Erlewine in Allmusic notes that "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has the distinction of being the only musical that starred Michael Damian, Donny Osmond and Andy Gibb." (Osmond later appeared on a DVD of the musical).
