DOVE AWARDS
 
 
A Dove Award  is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry.  The awards are presented annually.  The ceremonies feature live musical performances and are broadcast on TBN.  The awards were established in 1969, and represent a variety of musical styles, including rock, pop, hip hop, country, and urban.  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 

One Day at a Time” reached the Country Top 20 in the version by Marilyn Sellars in 1974 and also made #37 on the Billboard Hot 100.  One Day at a Time” was given a Dove Award by the Gospel Music Association in 1975.  Her success with writing One Day at a Time gave Marijohn Wilkin a gospel music career, and she released several albums on Word Records
