Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right Wonder Who

Greatly Appreciated

DON’T THINK TWICE, IT’S ALL RIGHT (The Wonder Who)

“Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right”  is a song written by Bob Dylan in 1962, recorded on November 14 that year, and released on the 1963 album The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan and as a single.  The Four Seasons released a cover of the song as a single in 1965 (with the title “Don’t Think Twice”) under the pseudonym The Wonder Who?  Their “joke” version reached the #12 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and eventually sold one million copies.  (More from Wikipedia)

Masquerading as the Wonder Who? – at the same time that the Who and the Guess Who were current – the Four Seasons released a version of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” with Frankie Valli singing an exaggerated falsetto.  And there is the excellent cover by the Jimi Hendrix Experience of “All Along the Watchtower”, which seems to be on everyone’s short list of the greatest Bob Dylan covers of all time.
