Devo

DEVO

Devo  is an American rock band formed in 1972 consisting of members from Kent and Akron, Ohio.  The classic line-up of the band included two sets of brothers, the Mothersbaughs (Mark and Bob) and the Casales (Gerald and Bob), along with Alan Myers.  The band had a No. 14 Billboard chart hit in 1980 with the single “Whip It”, and has maintained a cult following throughout its existence.  Their often discordant pop songs feature unusual synthetic instrumentation and time signatures that have proven influential on subsequent popular music, particularly new wave, industrial and alternative rock artists.  (More from Wikipedia)

There are two other medleys that were released in the wake of the hit song Stars on 45 Medley” (Beatles medley).  On what is probably his biggest hit album, In 3-D“Weird Al” Yankovic put together a hilarious medley called “Polkas on 45” where he performed a wildly wide-ranging medley (all while frantically playing the accordion) that ranged from Deep Purple, to Devo, to the Doors, to Foreigner, to Iron Butterfly, and even to Lawrence Welk
