David Clayton-Thomas  (born David Henry Thomsett; 13 September 1941) is a Grammy Award-winning Canadian musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist for the American band Blood, Sweat & Tears.  Clayton-Thomas has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame; and in 2007, his jazz/rock composition “Spinning Wheel” was enshrined in the Canadian Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.  In 2010, Clayton-Thomas received his star on Canada’s Walk Of Fame.  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 
Some of these albums are curiosities for the most part, but that is most definitely not true of this one.  To me, it is positively criminal that there are still some rock music fans out there who do not know about the debut 1968 album by Blood, Sweat and TearsChild Is Father to the Man.  Despite having zero hit songs and being recorded before lead singer David Clayton-Thomas joined the group, this album is even better than their second album, Blood, Sweat and Tears
