DANGER MOUSE

Danger Mouse  (born Brian Joseph Burton; July 29, 1977) is an American musician, songwriter and record producer.  He came to prominence in 2004 when he released The Grey Album, which combined vocal performances from Jay-Z’s The Black Album with instrumentals from The Beatles’ The Beatles (aka the White Album).  As a producer, Danger Mouse produced the second Gorillaz album, 2005’s Demon Days, as well as Beck’s 2008 record Modern Guilt and three albums with The Black Keys (Attack & Release, El Camino and Turn Blue).  In 2016, Danger Mouse produced, performed on and co-wrote songs for the eleventh studio album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers titled The Getaway.  He has been nominated for 19 Grammy Awards and has won 6.  (More from Wikipedia)

Each album by the Black Keys seemed to be more popular than the one before, with 2010’s Brothers (and its top single “Tighten Up”) winning three Grammys and a #2 spot on Rolling Stone’s list of the best albums of 2011; El Camino (2012) leading to the band’s first arena tour; and their eighth and most recent album (and third collaboration with Danger Mouse), Turn Blue (2014) reaching the top of the album charts in the US, Canada, and Australia.
