Cheryl Ladd  (born Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor; July 12, 1951) is an American actress, singer, and author.  Ladd is best known for her role as Kris Munroe in the ABC television series Charlie’s Angels, hired amid a swirl of publicity prior to its second season in 1977 to replace the departing Farrah Fawcett-Majors.  Ladd remained with the show until its cancellation in 1981.  Ladd initially came to Hollywood in 1970 to begin a career in music (she was known as “Cherie Moor” when she was the singing voice of Melody on Hanna-Barbera’s Josie and the Pussycats animated series).  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 

Like The Archie Show before them, the band from Josie and the Pussycats released an album in December 1970; unlike the Archies though (who are shown only as cartoons), the actual performers are shown on the cover of the Josie and the Pussycats album, Josie and the Pussycats:  Cathy DouglasPatrice Holloway and Cherie Moor Cherie Moor was born Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor; in 1972, she married David Ladd (son of Hollywood legend Alan Ladd) and became known as Cheryl Ladd of Charlie’s Angels fame.
