The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The charts are a record of the highest selling singles and albums in various genres in Australia. Spirit in the Sky” by Jewish-American singer-songwriter Norman Greenbaum is one of the biggest Christian-themed songs in music.  Spirit in the Sky sold 2,000,000 copies and reached the top of the charts in the U.K.AustraliaIrelandCanada, and Germany; it went to #3 in the U.S.

The Deee-Lite song “Groove is in the Heartwas a truly mountainous hit; as Wikipedia tells it: “An immediate smash in nightclubs, the song went to number one on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart and also hit number four on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at number 1 for one week in Australia in November 1990.”
