Andy Summers  (born 31 December 1942) is an English multi-instrumentalist, born in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire.  Best known as the guitarist for rock band The Police, he has also recorded twelve solo albums, collaborated with many other artists, toured extensively under his own name, published several books, and composed several film scores.  In 2012, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Summers as the eighty-fifth greatest guitarist of all time.  (More from Wikipedia)
 
 
When it became clear that Sting would not be returning to the fold, the two remaining members of the PoliceStewart Copeland and, briefly, Andy Summers formed a band in 1987 with Deborah Holland and virtuoso bassist Stanley Clarke that was initially called Rush Hour; after Summers exited the group, the name was changed to Animal LogicHolland, however, supplied nearly all of the songwriting for the band.
